Scholarship

The Susquehanna SMASH has established a scholarship fund that will award at least two scholarships to High School/Juniors players who will be entering college this fall. The number of scholarships may increase depending on the amount of sponsorship received and the number of teams entered.

A portion of all of our sponsorship money and a percentage of all the entry fees will go directly into the scholarship fund. Additionally, a portion of our proceeds for this year's tournament will be added to the fund for next year's scholarships.

To be eligible for one of the Susquehanna SMASH scholarship awards, a player must submit an application form.

The player must also play in the Susquehanna SMASH tournament on either Saturday or Sunday. We would prefer that the applicant play in the Juniors division, but that is not a requirement for eligibility for the scholarship award.

The deadline for submitting an application is July 17, 2009. This will allow our scholarship committee ample time to review your application before our tournament date. The scholarship recipients will be notified via email or phone, and will be awarded their scholarship on Center Court at the start of the tournament.
